Rebelling against principles

Principles

Why do we hate principles? Or better say; why does the ego hate principles and wants to rebel against them. Well, because the ego is always at war with itself and guess who made principles in the first place? Right, the ego. Al principes, ideas and “rules” about life are mind made and when you are rebelling against something in this realm, you are sure to be caught in the mental world.

The relationship between needs and principles.
All principles are build on needs and the biggest threat to the ego is feeling your needs. If you would be able to feel your needs, the ego wouldn’t exist. Better to explain it like this: every human being has needs. Feeling these needs is very vulnerable and scary, let alone opening up about your needs. The ego is the big protector for this vulnerable position. And it is the one that is fuelled by unmet needs. The bigger the need, the bigger the ego. It acts like it doesn’t have any needs but in reality it is constantly trying to get its needs met through every action it takes. That’s why actions from the ego feel so contaminated- because they are drenched in unmet needs.

How to get free from the grip of the mental world, egoic thinking and fighting against yourself?
forget everything you ever heard, give up every rule you ever wanted to live by and stick to this one spiritual principle that says it all: treat others how you want to be treated yourself.
It’s the golden rule and it’s the only principle that wipes away all the ego’s armour because the ego is literally incapable of thinking about others before it thinks about itself. By thinking about others first, you give your own needs room to show themselves. By placing yourself in other peoples shoes and really try to understand them- you are opening yourself up. You come from a place of love and understanding and the ego will never be able to co-exist with love.

So before you act- breath. Before you speak- ask questions. Before you take- give. This is making a 360 degree turn around yourself to make sure you are coming from the open spiritual place instead of the small egoic point of view and that means coming from a place of pure love, where your true identity lives. An action taken from the spiritual place can be completely different as the same action taken from the egoic point of view and of course the outcome will be much different.

Make sure you are taking actions from the place where your authentic self lives, This is what putting yourself first really means 🤍
